So there was a towering Viking with a heart of gold, a stunning, busty bride and a bewildered photographer facing a seemingly insurmountable foe – a wedding dress.
The clock was ticking, bridesmaids were frazzled, and this beautiful woman was trapped in puzzle wrapped in an enigma.
The scene that unfolded was pure comedic chaos. Imagine a very tall handsome man, knee strategically placed for leverage, while the bridesmaids, in a tug-of-war worthy of office olympics, fought valiantly from the other side. Insane champagne fuelled laughter became such a distractions, I didn’t think we’d get through it. I was laughing so hard I thought my knees would melt.
It was absurd, it was hilarious, and it was a moment I wouldn't trade for the world.
Both I and and my wonderful assistant exceeded our job description by shoehorning this beautiful, curvy, busty baddass into her dress. Was it tight? No….It was Vacuum sealed.
From that moment on we had such a blast! We shot on the beach at sunset, we danced, we giggled.
During the speeches, the groom, voice thick with emotion, announced his wife's incredible victory – her terminal illness, a relentless shadow looming over their big day, was in remission.
Tears kinda messed up my ability to focus my lens. But I got there in the end.
This is why I do this. This is why I capture moments – not just of silliness and ceremony a but pure happiness.
It’s awesome. I get to go to weddings all the time. A space of crazy wonderful optimism and fun. No one goes to a wedding looking for a bad time…… and this is what I get to do for work.
